Mark Garrett is the dad of twins, Xavier and Mackenzie. Xavier was diagnosed with brain cancer when he was 8 months old, and died shortly before his eighth birthday. After Xavier’s death, Carla and Mark wrote and illustrated “My Love Will Follow You There”, a book for kids who are dying.
